How can I create a domain on Windows XP?
So I have 2 XP’s a Vista Desktop and laptop, (both soon upgrading to 7), and 1 Win98 and I was wondering how to make a domain on the XP so that I can log on with any user on any of the computers. Also, will an XP domain work with Vista or 7 or Win98? I need to do this all for free, I don’t know how any of it really works. Also, is it possible to switch back once this is all done?

You dont. Go buy Windows Server 2003/2008 THEN you can create a domain. When you create a domain using server 2003/2008 – you’ll need to set up Windows 2000 native because of the Win 98 OS. You could always update from 98 to XP…you may even get tech support to help now that you’re in this era with OS’s.
You need to learn about Servers and Domains before you attempt anything.
